Paper entitled “Towards a New Wood-Intensive Economy” presented at the 2014 International Society of Forest Resource Economics Symposium in St. Louis, MO. Keynote speakers included Roger A. Sedjo, and Kenneth E. Scog members of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize awarded jointly with Albert Arnold (Al) Gore Jr. The annual conference is organized by ISFRE, an organization that brings together representatives of industry, consulting, academia, and federal and state agencies to discuss current issues in the economics of forestry, timber markets, timberland investments, and forest products trade.
